Deficiencies
In today's world with all the mass production of food, and changes in crop growing techniques, our food sources are not what they used to be. Animals are raised in unsanitary and unhealthy conditions, while being pumped full of growth hormones and antibiotics. Fruits and vegetables are not nearly as nutritional as they used to be, with chemicals and fertilizers depleting the soil, and nearly 80 percent of the foods in our diet containing some form of genetically modified ingredients. Processed foods are full of artificial ingredients, sugars, fillers, and preservatives. The public is lied to and deceived by the food industry as they promote their products as healthy and all natural when they don't even resemble the original food in quality or nutrition.
Many crops today are gown hydroponically, even organic ones. Hydroponic gardening produces large, watery fruit that can be mineral deficient. With hydroponic gardening, plants are grown in a nutrient based liquid instead of soil, often with artificial light. The results are large beautiful fruits that may not be nutritionally equal to their counterparts grown in healthy organic soil.
When making food choices try to eat foods as close to their natural state as possible, without additives. Read labels and become very familiar with what is in the food that you ingest, don't just trust blindly. Major food manufacturers are interested in making a profit, not in your health and well being. Try to choose foods that are grown locally and are as fresh as possible. Your health is up to you and the choices you make day in and day out. If you have spent years abusing your body with bad health choices, then you can't expect a quick fix. It can take time for the body to heal itself. Be patient and consistent as you work with your body on its journey back to health.
