I love this poem. It helps put in perspective that all doesn't have to be perfect in order to find happiness and joy!
I am fascinated by this concept of brain yoga! What a great idea to have physical exercises specifically for brain health! I wonder if this exercise might have the potential to make a difference in depression and anxiety disorders as well. I say its worth a try!
VID-20150919-WA0004.mp4 I spent the weekend at a Landmark Forum. Landmark is a company that provides life training that can give you wonderful new distinctions about your life and how you relate to others. I am a great believer in a life time of continued education, always learning and growing in my quest for a greater understanding of myself and this life that I live within. Part of good mental and emotional health is doing things for your self that leave you motivated, inspired and give you peace. Always remember to find time for yourself whether its taking a seminar, reading a good book, going for a walk or calling an old friend. Keeping your own cup full leaves you in a much better place to reach out and make a difference in other people's lives which in turn will enrich your own life and bring you peace and joy.
I do believe that anxiety disorders and depression are physical illnesses like any other illness but I also beleive that a great attitude, and trying to be positive and happy, can have a huge influence in our lives, so matter what we are dealing with.. I found this wonderfully inspirational story on FaceBook and wanted to share it here, hoping to inspire others as I was ispired! Absolutely beautiful! I can not stress enough the importance of taking care of yourself and making your own needs a priority in your life. When you are feeling good about yourself and your own "cup is full", then life feels a lot more enjoyable and worth living. Things that seemed big and overwhelming can seem a lot more manageable. Putting yourself first or at least making your own needs a priority is not selfish it is necessary on your path to feeling well! Make a point to find time for yourself today!
